Again this year we are battling high water levels in several areas.  This year we have had the highest water levels for the longest period of time.  Your Mosquito Control District has been working very hard in monitoring and controlling larva populations around the district.  We focus on the large breeding areas and our goal is to control the larvae before they hatch into adult mosquitoes.

We do NEED YOUR HELP in controlling the mosquito larva in your own yards and around your house.  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, take a look around your property for ANYTHING that might hold even the smallest amount of water.  MOSQUITOES MUST HAVE WATER TO LAY THEIR EGGS and it only takes a SMALL amount for one mosquito to lay hundreds of eggs.  Once the eggs are laid and if the area isn’t dumped you will have adult flying mosquitoes in as little as five days.

If you are unsure of what mosquito larva looks like or if you would like us to take a look around your house for possible breeding sites, we would be happy to help.  Just contact us, our contact information is under the “Contact Us” tab.
